ILLUSTRATIONS

As much as I enjoy creating beadwork and other crafts, I get an equal amount of pleasure illustrating for these art forms. Because our work as beaders and jewelry designers is generally tiny with small and precise movements, hands often get in the way and it is sometimes difficult to show others exactly what is happening. Moving these step-by-step processes to a larger, more visual "hands-off" medium allows me to share what cannot always be seen.

My process when developing my own books, patterns, and tutorials is to create the illustrations first, essentially "beading" on my computer screen, and then to go back and describe in words what I have illustrated.
