How Can I Help?
HOW CAN I HELP?|
9/11/10 ~ As of this writing, The Bead Quilt Project has one remaining goal, which is to raise the funds needed to transport the quilts to their final home at the National September 11th Museum and Memorial in New York. Since this project is a grassroots effort - fueled entirely by volunteers and donations - we would like to ask you for your help.
Please understand that we do not have 501(c3) status, and therefore your donation is not tax deductible.
BOOKS AND POSTCARDS:
The book includes a listing of all of our contributing artists, as well as the written statements that they included when they submitted their squares. While these statements certainly express the grief and horror that rang out around the world, they also include strong sentiments of empathy, hope and solidarity. They lend insight into the artists' creative process, and are surprisingly uplifting.
Measures 8 & 1/2" x 11", and includes 44 pages. Comb bound and self published, with gorgeous color photography by Julia S Pretl. $20.00 plus shipping & handling.
We also have buttons available for everyone who made squares for the project:
These are a gift, as our way of saying thanks for your participation.
If you are ordering postcard packs, please let us know that you made a square, and we'll include a button with your order.
If you are not ordering postcards, please mail us a SASE and we'll return it with your button:
