12 Vintage West German Glass Stones or Cabochons - 18 x 25 mm Aqua

Description

This is a lot of twelve (12) glass cabochons in transparent aqua blue. These stones have flat gold foiled backs, and measure 18x25 mm each. They were manufactured in West Germany from the 1950's - 1970's for the costume jewelry trade; they were meant to resemble gemstones, which is evidenced by quirky color names like "saphyr" and "topas".

These stones are in good condition but as is typical of vintage glass, some may show a bit of foil flaking or other signs of age. They are excellent for mounting, gluing, wrapping and whatever else your imagination can stir up!
