Description

This listing features one hank of 1950's (or older) vintage glass seed beads. These are old European seed beads, probably manufactured between the 1930's and 1950's, as is typical of this size hank.

They're 2-cut beads, in an opaque robin's egg blue. The color was particularly difficult to capture - it's a soft opaque blue that sits somewhere between "turquoise" and "robin's egg" with a somewhat greasy (AKA translucent) finish.

About the size of a modern 11/o or 12/o, with approximately 16-18 beads per inch when strung. This is one of the old micro/mini hanks. It weighs approximately 10 grams, and consists of 10 loops measuring about 2 & 3/4" each.

The super close up (pic 3) shows little white-ish flecks on the beads - these are not visible to the naked eye, it's just a highly magnified pic.

♥ Suggested uses for these precious old beads include: beadweaving, bead embroidery, antique purse restoration, fiber art, mixed media collage and collecting.
