12 Vintage West German Faceted Glass Stones or Cabochons - 18mm Oliv - Olive Green Olivine

Description

This is a lot of twelve (12) faceted glass cabochons in transparent "Oliv" - a gorgeous olive green. These stones have flat gold foiled backs, and measure 18mm each. They were manufactured in West Germany from the 1950's - 1970's for the costume jewelry trade; they were meant to resemble gemstones, which is evidenced by quirky color names like "saphyr" and "topas".

The first picture shows the color, the second shows the style and the third should help with sizing :)

They're in good condition but as is typical of vintage glass, some may show a bit of foil flaking or other signs of age. They are excellent for mounting, gluing, wrapping and whatever else your imagination can stir up!
