12 Vintage Glass Rhinestones - 8mm Faceted Iris Square/Octagon

These 1950's era rhinestones were made in Germany. This lot includes twelve (12) of these table polished stones, which measure 8x8 mm each. They're a square shape with the corners clipped off (which technically makes them octagons ;o) The tops have flat tables, and the sides are beveled and faceted. The backs are also faceted with gold foil and a slight dome (I've flipped a few over in the picture above to give you a better idea).

The finish is listed as "iris", but it's unlike the iris finishes that I'm familiar with (which are sometimes called "oilslick" or"AB"). This iris style is a crystal clear glass base with thin ribbons of fuschia, aqua and sapphire blue running through it -- just lovely!
