12 Vintage West German Faceted Glass Stones or Cabochons - 10 x 12 Ruby AB

Description

This is a lot of twelve (12) faceted glass cabochons in transparent "Ruby AB" - rich ruby red with an aurora borealis finish. They were manufactured in West Germany from the 1950's - 1970's for the costume jewelry trade. These stones have flat gold foiled backs, and measure 10 x 12 mm each. The top picture shows the color, the middle picture shows the style and the last picture helps with sizing.

The fire polished stones show typical wear for glass of this age but it doesn't detract from their beauty or elegance. They are excellent for mounting, gluing, wrapping and whatever else your imagination can stir up!
