12 Vintage West German Glass Stones or Cabochons - 13 x 18 mm Crystall

Description

This is a lot of twelve (12) glass cabochons in "Crystall", which is a transparent clear crystal. These stones have flat gold foiled backs, and measure 13 x 18 mm each. They were manufactured in West Germany from the 1950's - 1970's for the costume jewelry trade; they were meant to resemble gemstones, which is evidenced by quirky color names like "saphyr" and "topas".

These stones show typical wear for glass of this age (some may have foil flaking or minor nicks around the edges) but it doesn't detract from their beauty or elegance. They are excellent for mounting, gluing, wrapping and whatever else your imagination can stir up!

♥ Please note ~ these are flat backed cabochons. They are not beads, and they do not have holes.
