Red Maple Leaf Leather Barrette - Hairstick

Description

This sculpted leather barrette was modeled after the maple leaves that I see all over my neighborhood. It measures about 4 & 1/2" wide by 3& 1/2" high, and it's dyed and painted in hues of red, orange, brown and gold.

The haripiece closes with a handcarved hairstick - I believe the wood is coco bolo, but I'm not sure. The hairstick measures about 6" long.
