Very Victorian Bead Embroidered Cameo Barrette in shades of Black and Blue AB

Description

This bead embroidered barrette uses vintage and antique materials, and it has a somewhat Victorian feel. It showcases a vintage glass cameo in peacock blue on black, which is surrounded by victorian era seed beads in soft aquamarine, black and montana blue. All of the seed beads are faceted, which gives the piece a nice sparkle when the light hits it. Other interesting beads used in this piece include the larger antique "French jet" beads (aka black glass ;o)

Outer measurements are approximately 4 & 1/2" wide x 2 & 1/2" high at its highest and widest points. The barrette is backed with black deerskin, and uses a 3 & 1/2" French style barrette clip. I have long, thick hair and this style clip holds it back very well.
