Icy Blue, Cobalt and Lavender Butterfly - A Filigree Sculpted Leather Mask

This mask is part of a small series of butterfly style masks made to celebrate a childhood memory of catching moths & butterflies. It's silly (and possibly trite)but it made me very happy to remember this. Every mask in the series is different, but each one celebrates that memory of youth, wonder and the ability to believe in magic.

This mask has been sculpted from premium tooling leather, and hand painted in gradiant shades of metallic silver, icy blue, pearly sapphire and soft lavender with deep cobalt accents. The color has been sealed with a protective topcoat, and the mask is finished with a series of glass jewels in deep cobalt.

Measures approximately 9" high x 7" wide, ties with stretch lace straps in deepest blue. The mannequin shown is a bit smaller than the average adult head, so this mask probably won't look as big on you as it does in these pics.
